Simply raise the lid and the capsule drops into a holding area which is easily removable once it fills up.

If you do composting the capsule cover can be removed and the coffee contents emptied and the aluminum container can be recycled.

Cons:

• You can only use the pre packaged Nespresso coffee capsules in this machine which is great if you already like Nespresso coffee.
• This is too pricey
• One person commented that it does not produce stable temperatures.

PROS:

Dual Filter – The Delonghi has a patented dual filter which not only uses regular pre-ground espresso like any other espresso maker, but also uses E.S.E. (Easy Serve Espresso) pods which means no tamping and no clean up.

15 Bar Pump System - This is not an ordinary steam espresso maker. It has a 15 bar self-priming pump system which pushes the hot water through the ground espresso at roughly 15 times normal sea level air pressure. This creates an authentic, coffee house quality espresso with a healthy quarter inch head – known as the crema.

Steaming Wand Too Low - Many Delonghi EC155 owners have reported that the steam wand for cappuccino is only several inches from the counter, necessitating a small frothing pitcher.

Output Nozzle Too Low - Similar complaint to the steam wand. Some owners report that since the output nozzle is only a few inches from the plate, they can’t comfortably use large mugs for their espresso. Espresso or cappuccino cups are preferred.
