How To Clean A Braun Coffee Maker
Do you have a coffee maker that you use frequently and want to know how to clean?
A Braun Coffee Maker can be cleaned much like other electric coffee makers. However, if you want to extend its’ lifespan as far as possible, you need to the proper way to clean it.
If you’ve noticed that your coffee just doesn’t taste the same anymore, it could be because of built up oils from old pots of coffee. This can also cause the coffee maker to slow down. To remedy or prevent this situation, follow these steps on how to clean a Braun Coffee Maker.
You can either buy cleaning solution expressly for coffee machines, or you can make your own. For a homemade solution, mix one ounce (two tablespoons) white vinegar with four cups of hot water. To get the best results, use either distilled or filtered water.
Pour the mixture into the water reservoir, turn on the machine, and let it begin a “coffee making” cycle. Once the solution has come through, turn off the coffee maker and allow it twenty minutes to cool down.
If your coffee maker is in really bad condition, you may want to repeat this process once or twice. Just make sure that you allow the machine to cool down between each cleaning cycle and use fresh solution each time.
When you have finished with the cleaning solution, make sure you rinse out the machine. Run cold clean water through the coffee maker three or four times, discarding the water after each cycle and using fresh for each subsequent rinse. Again, don’t forget to let the machine cool off a little between cycles.
Now that you know how to clean a Braun Coffee Maker, you should make sure that you keep it clean by following these steps about once per month. To see if your coffee maker needs to be cleaned, just run water through it (after cleaning the pot itself and the filter drawer). If the water comes out clear, it’s still clean; if the water looks dirty then it is probably time to clean it again.
